Faculty, Staff and Students at St. Mary’s College are given access to a wide variety of resources on the school network. The login for these network resources is usually generated using the first initial, middle initial, and last name (example: Jane Ann Doe would be jadoe). Students are provided with this login before school begins (in their acceptance letter). Faculty and Staff are provided with this login when they begin working at SMCM. As part of the St. Mary’s network, access is given to several services that require authentication in order to protect sensitive data. To comply with state and college policies, individuals are required to have a complex network password and reset it every 360 days. The required guidelines for complex passwords are as follows:
You will receive an email notification when your password is due to expire in 14 days, and one every day thereafter until you reset your password. Passwords can be reset through the Password Manager self-service reset program. Please see the How do I use Password Manager FAQ for instructions.
